A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.
Proverbs 22:1
The story is told of Mark Cuban, owner of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks, offering sports talk show host David Kaplan $50,000 to have his name changed to “Dallas Maverick“.
When Kaplan declined Cuban responded by offering to pay Kaplan $100,000 and donate another $100,000 to Kaplan’s favourite charity if he took the name for one year.
Kaplan did some soul searching, and decided to hold firm to his initial decision.
“I’d be doing anything for money,” he explained “and that bothers me. My name is my birthright, I’d like to preserve me integrity and credibility”
Now to me that is Big!
If I were in Kaplan’s situation I Honestly believe It would have been very HARD for me to turn those offers down.

What do you do, or would do for money?
Don’t answer out aloud!
You need not even share your answers!
But if what you do or would do is questionable; IS IT WORTH IT?
Yes, money is important but isn’t your character and reputation of much greater worth?
Building a reputation of integrity and reliability happens by establishing a consistent track record of sound decisions and hard work. And no amount of money or fleeting temptation should be worth is undoing.
What is more important to you, Integrity or Perceived Stability?
