Coming from a poor family and being a fatherless child, whenever things get rough and I can’t seem to find my way out my initial option was to give up.
Being a nursing student at N.C.U and not having much help, I often times get so stressed and frustrated and giving up just seems like the easiest thing to do.
However in spite of how stressed and frustrated I got and felt like I wanted to quit;
I HAVE NEVER EVER GIVEN UP!
My dreams, my aspirations and wanting to be a great impact on society has kept me motivated to keep fighting.
I am the first member of my family to be attending university which is an achievement that made my parents very proud. And making my family proud especially my mother has been one of my greatest motivators.
Additionally, Philippians 4:13 reassures us that with God all things are possible and each time I read this bible verse it gives me the extra push I need to go for what I want.
Yes I know it is a rocky road and sometimes we may fail to reach the goals we have set but it doesn’t mean we are to surrender to doubt and relinquish our dreams.
Giving up is worst than trying and failing; hence giving up should never be an option. Always be optimistic.
I am now in my 3Rd year and if I had given up on my dreams, I would not have reached this far. Never give up on your self or your dreams.
When you have achieved them, you will look back at all your obstacles thanking God for them, because it is those same obstacles that would have helped to make you into the strong, successful and confident person that you are today.
It is also very important to always remember that with God in the mix all our problems will be fixed.
