The way to ensure success in anything we attempt is to approach it the right way.
As a guy I would never approach a girl smelling funky, with my teeth un-brushed knowing I would fail.
I would approach her when I thought I was at my best both physically and mentally.
Will Smith said, “I am not afraid to die on the treadmill. I will not be out-worked, period. You might have more talent than me, you might be smarter than me, you might be sexier than me, you might be all of those things, you got it on me in nine categories. But if we get on the treadmill together, there’s two things; your getting off first, or I’m going to die……………….if you stay ready you haven’t got to get ready”
In my estimation that is the right mind-set!
Many of us don’t attack our tasks with the right mind-set and thus unknowingly we set ourselves up to fail!
I use the word attack when I relate to tasks for we should visualise life as a battle.
A battle; where only the strong of mind and wit can survive.
The greatest conqueror of mankind is diet! For it seems we are all held captive to our palate.
What helps to complex this predicament further is that the present lifestyle many live by is one that abhors exercise and fitness. But at the same time so many of us hate our appearance and consequently find ourselves depressed.
To this predicament my answer is simple we just don’t love ourselves enough!
Setting ourselves up with the right mind set means loving ourselves completely first; and then as a result we will begin to behave in a way that will only affect our lives positively.
This mind-set will not only help you health wise but in all other aspects of your lives.
So today as I go I beg of you. Rediscover the love for yourself, and cultivate a winning mind-set.
The key to winning is discipline and motivation. If you find the motivation inside you, you will find the will power to become the best you can be.
